Golden eagle found injured near Divide set free after successful rehab

PUEBLO, Colo. — A golden eagle found injured four weeks ago has recovered and been released back into the wild.

The golden eagle was found July 21 west of Divide near Highway 24. Officials say she had a fractured leg and bruised wing.

The golden eagle was brought to the Nature and Raptor Center of Pueblo for rehabilitation.

She was sent back into the wild Wednesday, August 16.
