Passengers on United Express flight evacuated after plane catches fire in Denver

DENVER, Colo. — Officials are investigating after a United Express plane reportedly caught on fire at Denver International Airport Sunday afternoon.

Flight 5869 was arriving from Aspen and had 65 people on board, including the crew, according to KDVR. The flight was operated by SkyWest.

Airport officials say all passengers were evacuated safely and there were no reported injuries.

Passengers on the flight say the response was immediate.

Airport officials say all runways are open as of 3:25 p.m. and all other airport operations remain unaffected.

The investigation is continuing.
