FOUNTAIN, Colo. — Crews are responding to a fire near Pikes Peak International Raceway Saturday.

Multiple reports of the fire came in just after 2 p.m.

Hanover Fire Department is the responding agency with assistance from the El Paso County Wildland Fire Crew.

The Hanover Fire Chief tells FOX21 the fire has burned about 250 acres. It did threaten a couple of homes but crews were able to keep them safe.

Hanover Fire officials say it was started by a make shift shooting range.
