Three felony suspects arrested after relative calls police

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Three felony suspects were arrested Wednesday after the resident of the apartment they were hiding in called police.

Police said around 11 a.m. Wednesday, they got a call from a resident of an apartment on North Murray Boulevard. The resident told police a relative who was hiding in the apartment had warrants, and the resident was afraid of the relative.

When officers arrived, they had the resident leave through a window. They then knocked on the door, but no one answered. They called in a K9 and forced entry into the apartment, where they found four people hiding.

Police said one of the suspects was hiding under a loveseat, but when he heard the K9 barking, he immediately let officers know where he was.

Police said three of the suspects were arrested on felony warrants. The four people had a total of five felony warrants and two misdemeanor warrants between them. One of the suspects is facing additional charges for lying to officers about their identity, according to police. Everyone in the apartment was also cited for interference.
