PUEBLO, Colo. — A woman is facing charges after she was caught with about $2,800 worth of meth in the Pueblo County courthouse Monday, according to the sheriff’s office.

Deputies said Renee Pataska, 21, was attending a hearing in the courthouse when she was notified she was being arrested on a warrant for failure to comply. As part of the booking process, deputies searched Pataska. They found a roll of money and a large plastic bag containing six smaller bags of meth. Deputies said the packages totaled about 29.6 grams.

Pataska told deputies she was selling the drugs as a way to support her children.

Pataska was arrested on charges of possession and distribution of a controlled substance, along with the original warrant.
