Relative of attempted murder suspect arrested

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — The relative of an attempted murder suspect has been arrested for her involvement in Sunday’s incident.

Officials say 38-year-old Tonya Harrison has been booked into the Criminal Justice Center on the charge of accessory to attempted murder. An investigation revealed the suspect still at large, Consepcion Rascon Jr., used a cell phone to call Harrison.

Authorities are searching for Rascon Jr., who is wanted for two counts of attempted first degree murder, two counts of second degree arson, child abuse and domestic violence.

The Sheriff’s Office received several calls Sunday, November 6 around 5 p.m. regarding a car on fire possibly related to a domestic violence situation in the 1300 block of Forest Road in the Stratmoor Hills area.

At the scene, authorities found a car on fire and two women with burn injuries. Both women were transported to a local hospital for treatment. Officials say both are in stable condition.
