DENVER — Incumbents Republican Rep. Ken Buck and Democratic Rep. Jared Polis have won new terms to return to Congress.

Buck of Greeley gets a second term to represent Colorado’s Eastern Plains. He handily defeated Democrat Bob Seay (SEE) in Colorado’s 4th Congressional District, which stretches from Wyoming to New Mexico along the state’s eastern edge. It also includes portions of Adams and Arapahoe counties.

Polis of Boulder defeated Republican challenger Nicholas Morse in Colorado’s 2nd Congressional District, which includes the University of Colorado and Colorado State University. This will be his fifth term.

Polis is known for advocating for greater limits on oil and gas drilling. He also is one of the few members of Congress to back marijuana legalization.
