COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Police are asking for the public’s help identifying a man who tried to kidnap two children in central Colorado Springs in May.

Police said it happened on May 14 in the area of East LaSalle Street and North Union Boulevard. The man tried to pull two 10-year-olds into his pickup truck, according to police.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic man, 25-26 years old, with very short hair and a possible mustache. He’s about 5 feet 3 inches tall, with brown eyes. He has teardrop tattoos on the left side of his face, a cross tattoo on the right side of his face, a tattoo of a gun on his left hand, and a tattoo of a girl on his left arm. He had a scar and stitches on the right side of his face.

The suspect was driving a black or gray pickup truck with a topper.
