Two injured in overnight shooting in Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Two people were injured in a shooting in Colorado Springs Monday night, according to police.

Police said around 11:15 p.m., they got a call about shots fired on East Pikes Peak Avenue near Memorial Park. When officers arrived, they spotted a car headed northbound. They tried to pull the car over, but the driver refused to stop.

Police talked to a victim whose car had been hit by a stray bullet. A person in the car sustained minor injuries to his hand.

A short time later, the vehicle that left the scene was spotted at a local hospital, dropping off a patient with a gunshot wound to the leg. That person was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

No suspects have been arrested.
