Following the road to the White House on Trump Avenue, Clinton Way

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — If you’re like most Americans, you’re probably pretty fed up with the election at this point.

Whether it’s the continuous scandals on both sides, or if you just don’t like our choices.

Friday we brought some much needed fun to break the tension.

You don’t have to be on the campaign trail to see Trump or Clinton.

In Colorado Springs all you have to do is drive through some neighborhoods.

For people like Scott Stevens, who live on Trump Avenue, the street they live on adds a totally different feel to this presidential race.

“Well, it’s definitely created air when you just give somebody your address. They’re like, ‘oh really now,'” said Stevens.

Michael Davis said his street name helps breaks the tension of the election.

“Jokingly I guess you could say that. Most of my friends are republicans and they’re like, ‘man, you live on Clinton way,'” said Davis.

Just like how, at times, this election hasn’t been civil, living on these streets can be the same.

“You never know. In the middle of the night something may have occurred,” said Stevens about a stolen street sign.

“A Trump fan came by and said, ‘I need this sign,’” said Kody Fisher.

“Yes, yes, or somebody planning a bon fire,” said Stevens.

“Just because somebody lives on Clinton Way or Trump Avenue, that doesn’t necessarily mean their political views align with the name of their street.

“It is an absolute conflict. Quite left leaning on most of the topics. Yeah, we’re definitely not trump supporters despite the address,” said Stevens.

“I’m not going to say I’m ashamed of being on Clinton way, cause I got a beautiful home, but most definitely my political views don’t align with living here,” said Davis.

People on Trump Avenue and Clinton Way said their street names now have a much different feel to them than they do when they moved there, which will take some getting used to.
