COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — A motorcyclist who was involved in a crash in northern Colorado Springs in August has died from his injuries, according to police.
The crash happened around 8 p.m. August 31 at the intersection of Chapel Hills Drive and Research Parkway. Police said the motorcyclist, 33-year-old Mark Schroeder, was turning left onto Research when he hit a curb. He was thrown from his motorcycle and into the southbound traffic lane, where he was hit by a car headed southbound.
Schroeder was hospitalized with serious injuries. He died from those injuries on Monday.
Police said the death has been ruled accidental. Alcohol and speed are not considered factors in the crash. The driver who hit Schroeder will not be charged.
