Suspect arrested on charges of attempted second degree homicide

CAÑON CITY, Colo. (October 19, 2016) — An arrest warrant has been issued for 54-year-old Anthony “Tony” Morris Malette for attempted second degree homicide and additional charges.

Authorities were dispatched Wednesday just after 7:30 a.m. to the 600 block of Mystic Avenue near North 6th Street to investigate crimes to an at-risk adult.

Police say the reporting party, a healthcare worker, observed the 75-year-old female’s injuries and called police.

They determined the female was a victim of first degree assault and attempted second degree homicide.

Malette is described as a Caucasian male, 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing 165 pounds. He has brown hair and hazel eyes.

He has several tattoos – a sleeve on his left arm, a sleeve on his right arm, and a grim reaper on his right leg. He also has a scar on his right eye.

Malette has also been known to carry a weapon. He has no known form of transportation and most likely fled on foot in the Cañon City area.
