Darryl Glenn flip-flops his stance on Donald Trump

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Republican U.S. Senate candidate Darryl Glenn has reversed course on his stance for Donald Trump.

“Donald Trump did what he absolutely had to do,” Glenn said on Fox’s “Your World with Neil Cavuto” Monday, referring to Trump’s performance in Sunday’s debate. “I think he reset this campaign. People were wanting him to come out and show contrition, and he did that. He accepted responsibility.”

Glenn goes on to extend a personal invitation for Trump to visit Colorado and “share his vision for economic prosperity.”

Glenn, along with other Colorado Republican leaders U.S. Senator Cory Gardner and U.S. Representative Mike Coffman, released statements over the weekend calling on Trump to step aside.

When Cavuto asked Glenn if he’s had a change of heart, Glenn said “He [Trump] stepped up and took responsibility.”

Glenn’s original statement dropping his support for Trump, released Saturday, has since been deleted from his Facebook page.
