Pedestrian injured in shooting at Kum & Go

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Police are looking for three suspects involved in a shooting at a Kum & Go Saturday night that injured one man.

It happened just before 6:30 p.m. at the convenience store located at 1021 South Nevada Avenue.

Police say a man and the occupants of a car in front of the Kum & Go were arguing when one of the occupants pointed a pistol out the car window and fired, striking a 45-year-old pedestrian in the left leg.

The projectile was slowed by first hitting a metal flask in the victim’s pants, police say.

The man was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

The suspects are described as three white males who were traveling in a small, gold sedan.

The investigation is ongoing.
