PUEBLO, Colo. — Presidential candidate Donald Trump held a rally at the Pueblo Convention Center Monday.

This is Trump’s third visit to southern Colorado since becoming the Republican presidential nominee. He has visited Colorado Springs twice.

“America first, remember that, America first,” Trump said.

It’s what Trump says he will do as president.

“The status quo just keeps doing the same thing and you know Hillary keeps saying that she wants to change stuff but she’s been there for how many years? 26 years and things have not changed and continue to get worse all the time,” said Judy Saylor, a teacher in Pueblo.

Trump said one of the main reasons he’s running for president is to fix the tax code. He says it’s unfair and complex, with very few people who understand it.

Trump also spoke against Democratic presidential nominee, Hillary Clinton, and her views on bringing Syrian refugees into the United States.

“My job is not to represent foreign countries, my job is to represent the citizens of the United States of America, putting your jobs, your wages and your security first,” Trump said.

Meanwhile, protesters gathered outside the rally, saying Trump’s lack of experience doesn’t make him fit to lead the nation.

“I do believe we need a really good solid thoughts about national security, which I think Hillary has I don’t think he thinks things out,” said Sheryl Moore, who will not be voting for Trump in the upcoming election.

Trump however, fights back, saying he would have done things differently, had he known he would run for president.

“I would have commenced with certain television interviews, radio interviews. I would have said things slightly differently and I wouldn’t have had as good a time in life or as much fun in life, but it would have made my life as a politician a little bit easier right?” Trump said.

Trump also spoke at the Budweiser Events Center in Loveland the same night.
