6th annual Neighborhood Cleanup Day

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Cleanup community projects were held across the region Saturday.

For the sixth straight year, The Vanguard School held their annual Neighborhood Cleanup Day.

Students, families, staff members and people from the community at the Calvary Baptist Church and Villas in Southgate were out around the school, cleaning up all the trash in the community.

“Best way gives us a 30-yard dumpster and we usually have no problem filling that up,” said Pat Agee of The Vanguard School. “We also have dumpsters at the other affiliates and we use their dumpsters too. It’s not uncommon to collect upwards of 250 bags of trash.”

By having the neighborhood clean, they hope it will build community pride.
