New labeling enforcement for edible marijuana products begins October 1

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Marijuana edibles are changing in Colorado.

Starting October 1, pot brownies, cookies and other edibles sold in Colorado will be stamped with a diamond and the letters THC.

The new rule is aimed at making marijuana treats easier to identify. Both the packaging and the edible itself will be marked.

This is the first requirements of its kind in any legal marijuana state and comes in addition to other packaging and labeling rules.

Additionally, marijuana edibles must also have child proof seals and lids.
