COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Deputies are asking for the public’s help identifying a man who used stolen credit card information at five Colorado Springs stores earlier this week.

Deputies said on Tuesday, a resident got a text from their bank about fraudulent transactions on their account. The victim checked the account and found a credit card had been used five times that day in Colorado Springs. The victim had last used the card earlier in the week.

The stolen information was used to make the following purchases:

  • $342.77 at the Victoria’s Secret in Chapel Hills Mall
  • $526.67 at the Sunglass Hut in Chapel Hills Mall
  • $133.08 at the Sunglass Hut in Chapel Hills Mall
  • $487.99 at Ross at Powers Boulevard and North Carefree Circle
  • $21.01 at Smashburger at Powers Boulevard and North Carefree Circle

A store employee told deputies the card the suspect used didn’t have a name on it, and looked like a gift card.

Deputies said another person was with the suspect when he made two of the purchases. No description of that person is available.

The suspect is described as a light-skinned black or Hispanic man in his 20s. He’s medium height and weight, has a chin strap thin beard with a small goatee, and has full tattoo sleeves on both arms. He was wearing a white t-shirt, dark pants, and black sneakers.

Surveillance photos of the suspect are available above. Anyone with information is asked to call Deputy Wilson at 719-282-5469, call dispatch at 719-390-5555, or email edwinwilson@elpasoco.com .
