Colorado Springs ranks #9 in nation’s best cities for families

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — The Springs is taking home another accolade for 2016.

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, Americans can expect to move an estimated 11.7 times during his or her lifetime.

Analysts at WalletHub have compared the 150 most populated U.S. cities based on 36 key metrics that take into account essential family dynamics such as the relative cost of housing, the quality of local school and health care systems and the opportunities for fun and recreation.

Overland Park, Kansas took home the top title and Birmingham, Alabama ranked last.

Denver ranked number 15.
