FAA warns against using Samsung Galaxy Note 7 on planes

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — The FAA is urging travelers not to turn on or plug in their Samsung Galaxy Note 7 phones while on airplanes.

The warning comes after reports of the phone’s batteries exploding when being charged.

Samsung says all customers can swap their devices in for a replacement.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission is also now advising all customers to power their Note 7 phones down and stop charging them.
