Colorado Springs resident chases burglary suspects after finding them in his garage

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — A Colorado Springs man chased two burglary suspects after he found them in his garage when he arrived home Tuesday, according to police.

Police said it happened just before 1 p.m. in the area of Nevada Avenue and Mountain View Lane, just south of the intersection with Austin Bluffs Parkway. The victim told police that when he got home, the burglars’ minivan was inside his garage. When the burglars saw him, they got in the van and left. The victim followed them until they turned onto Mount View Lane, which is a dead end road.

When officers arrived, they found the van abandoned. They used a K9 to search for the suspects, but could not find them. The investigation is continuing.
