COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — A woman was arrested on DUI charges after police pulled her over for a broken headlight Thursday morning.

Police said around 12:40 a.m., an officer saw a car with a broken headlight driving in the area of South Tejon Street and Navajo Street. The officer pulled the car over, and as he approached, the driver opened the door and spit out a hard-boiled egg. She told the officer she was choking on it.

The driver then showed the officer a clear plastic sandwich bag that was half filled with marijuana, and told the officer she was on felony probation. The officer checked her background and learned she did not have a valid driver’s license. The officer also had her tested for DUI.

When they searched the car, officers found cocaine, heroin, meth, morphine, several plastic bags, and a scale.

The driver, 32-year-old Brianne Martin, was arrested for DUI.
