FALCON, Colo. — Deputies are looking for the man who tried to use counterfeit money at the Falcon Walmart last week.

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office said the man went into the Walmart around 11:30 a.m. August 4. He tried to buy $40 worth of household items with two counterfeit $20 bills. When the cashier discovered the bills were counterfeit, the suspect left the store without taking the items.

Deputies said both bills had the same serial number, and appeared to be washed $5 bills.

The suspect is described as a white man with an average build. He had brown hair with long sideburns, a mustache, and a goatee. He was wearing a black baseball cap with a red emblem, a black button-up short sleeve shirt, and dark pants and shoes. He was driving a dark-colored sedan.
