Woman claims credit card was stolen while hospitalized in Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Police are looking for a man who used a stolen credit card for purchases around Colorado Springs.

According to authorities, a fraudulent purchase was made with a stolen credit card at the Walmart located at 4425 Venetucci Boulevard.

Police said a single charge was made for $564.88. A second purchase for $235.27 was denied.

Prior to the purchases at Walmart, the card was used at the Rivon Gas Station located at 4140 U.S. Highway 85 / 87 for a small purchase.

The victim believes the card was taken while she was hospitalized at Penrose Saint Francis Hospital in Colorado Springs.

A photo from surveillance video shows the suspect as a white man wearing a brown hat during his fraudulent purchase.
