Kevin Pearce: The road to recovery

DENVER — Former professional snowboarder Kevin Pearce is sharing his story of recovery. He suffered a traumatic brain injury while training for the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics.

Like many with traumatic brain injuries, the road to recovery is a long one. Kevin and his brother, Adam, started the Love Your Brain Foundation in 2014, helping victims and their families through the recovery process.

They have everything from retreats to support online, and most recently, their yoga program. Everything is tailored to help those with traumatic brain injuries cope, and families are welcome too.

The yoga program does have a few restrictions, but is a six-week free class at select studios across the United States.

The program does offer teacher training and those wanting to get involved can sign up on their website.
