Pueblo Police Dept. to host family-friendly event at Riverwalk

PUEBLO, Colo. — The Pueblo Police Department will be hosting the 2016 Neighborhood Safety Night at the Pueblo Riverwalk between Union and Victoria on Tuesday, August 2 from 4 to 9 p.m.

This family-friendly event aims to promote crime prevention, safety, Neighborhood Watch, and for building community relationships.

This year’s event will have the following activities:

  • Music by KPHT iHeart Radio
  • Free backyard games
  • Free Riverwalk boat rides (5 to 8 p.m.)
  • Free GG’s BBQ for the first 300 people (starting at 5 p.m.)
  • Free snow cones for the first 350 people (starting at 5:30 p.m.)
  • Free face painting (5 to 9 p.m.)
  • Dunk tank fundraiser
  • Raffle for a RING doorbell camera
  • Giveaways
  • Displays of department vehicles (SWAT truck, bomb squad truck, police cars, etc.)
