Falcon Highlands hit with lack of water

FALCON HIGHLANDS, Colo. — Early Sunday morning, those living in Falcon Highlands reported they had little to no water.

Later, a statement was posted on the Falcon Highlands Metropolitan District website, telling the community to conserve water and to shut off taps.

Those in the Highlands neighborhood say, they started noticing problems around 7:30 A.M.

Just after 1:30 P.M. the District’s water tank started to be filled once again.

Right now it’s unknown what caused the problem, however when the operator restarted the pumps on site, they were able to fill the tank once again.

Water was back up and running to homes in the area, just after 2:15 P.M. and water hydrants were back to normal, a few hours later.

Falcon Highlands Metropolitan District is asking customers to continue conserving water until the problem is fixed, they estimate that could take until tomorrow morning.

There is still no word on what caused the water to stop running in the first place.
