COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Over 320 kids are getting to learn football skills and proper techniques alongside the professionals at the Pro Football Camp in Colorado Springs.

However, kids are learning about more than just football.

From proper football form to life lessons, this camp teaches the campers how to be well-rounded players and people.

“It warms my heart to see people get better,” Greg Scruggs, Chicago Bears tight end said.

These kiddos get to work alongside the NFL’s top athletes, which is their favorite part.

“It’s like playing with somebody in your dreams, but better,” Luke Toliver, camper said.

However, the pro players also enjoy sharing their personal stories with the campers.

“I just want to show them that we are normal human beings, just like everybody else we have stories and go through things just like everyone else, we’re not super humans,” Charles Johnson, Minnesota Vikings wide receiver said.

Even though these players are used to compliments, some of their favorite interactions came from the athletes at camp.

“A kid just came up to me and was like ‘man I love you, and I have seen you on Madden 16,’ and I’m like that’s awesome,” Johnson said.

In the end, it’s all about just having fun, while getting better in a sport the kids are so passionate about.

“I love the energy they bring, we get them competing in our drills, tackling dummies, and you just see them light up. They all want to line up and go against me and it’s just a blast out here,” Brian Folkerts, Los Angeles Rams center said.
