43 officers graduate from Colorado Springs police training academy

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Colorado Springs police now have 43 new officers to help protect and serve the people of our city.

The new officers graduated from the training academy Thursday. A ceremony was held at the Village Seven Presbyterian Church.

One new officer said it’s been a dream of his for a long time.

“From a young kid, it’s that thing that’s intriguing,” new CSPD officer Troy Stinson said. “You’re cowboys and Indians and you’ore cops and robbers, and I’m cops.”

This is the 65th recruit class for the department.
