COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Roads in Garden of the Gods Park will close every night for about three weeks for repaving.
Starting Wednesday, all roadways and parking areas within the park will be closed nightly and reopen the following morning. The closures include Gateway Road, Juniper Way Loop, Garden Drive, Garden Lane, and Ridge Road.
The roads will be closed from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. Sunday through Thursday, and from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Friday and Saturday. The closures are expected to last about three weeks, depending on weather.
Trails will remain open during the normal park hours of 5 a.m. to 11 p.m.
During the day, hikers, bicyclists, and drivers may encounter grooved and uneven pavement on the roads.
The paving project is funded through the 2C ballot measure, which Colorado Springs voters passed in November.
