Police looking for gas station robbery suspect

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Police are looking for a robbery suspect who stole cash from a gas station in Colorado Springs on Friday evening.

Officers responded to the report of a robbery on Friday, July 1 at the Western Gas Station located at 19th Street and West Uintah Street around 10:42 p.m.

According to authorities, police found the clerk who said a man had entered the store displaying a weapon and demanding money from the register. The clerk gave the suspect money and the he fled the scene heading west.

There were no injuries.

Police searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect.

The suspect is described as a man, possibly white, 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall with a thin build. He was wearing a camouflage-colored hoodie with a green mask and beige / tan gardening gloves.
