CSPD asking for new leads in 5-year-old missing person case

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Police are asking for new information to help them find a woman who was reported missing five years ago Thursday.

Deborah Ann Heriford was reported missing on March 31, 2011, when she did not show up to work as a crossing guard for District 20. Her dog was found wandering a few blocks from her home.

Police said her disappearance is suspicious, and they believe there was foul play involved.

At the time of her disappearance, Heriford was described as a 51-year-old white woman, about 5 feet 2 inches tall and 160 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information on this case is asked to call police at 719-444-7000, or Crime Stoppers at 719-634-7867 (STOP). You don’t have to give your name, and could earn a cash reward.
