Colorado man and woman arrested for producing child porn with infant victim

DENVER — Two people have been arrested for producing child pornography with an infant victim, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Denver.

Brandi Leonard and Richard Hennis were arrested earlier this month. According to court documents, Leonard and Hennis were chatting online when Leonard told Hennis she had sexually abused an infant. Hennis encouraged her to sexually abuse the infant again, take pictures or video of the abuse, and send them to him, and she did. Law enforcement officials found the pictures on Hennis’ phone, according to prosecutors.

Prosecutors said that during their chats, Leonard and Hennis also discussed, in graphic detail, kidnapping, raping, killing, and dismembering a child between the ages of 4 and 8. Leonard said during the chat that she didn’t intend to go through with it, but she continued to engage in the conversations with Hennis.

According to court documents, around the same time, Leonard was corresponding by email with nannies4hire.com and care.com. Those websites help connect childcare providers with people who need childcare. Prosecutors did not say what the emails contained.

Leonard is charged with one count of production of child pornography and one count of transportation of child pornography.

Hennis is charged with one count of production of child pornography, one count of advertisement of child pornography, and one count of transportation of child pornography.
