Sexually violent predator moves to Security-Widefield

SECURITY-WIDEFIELD, Colo. — A sexually violent predator has moved to Security-Widefield, according to police.

Jerrell Jamil Evans, 34, lives at 78 McBurney Boulevard. He previously lived at the Capri Motel on Platte Avenue in Colorado Springs.

Deputies said Evans is a newspaper carrier for the Gazette and drives a black 2004 Jeep Cherokee.

Police said Evans was convicted of criminal attempt second-degree sexual assault in El Paso County in 2001. Records show he sexually assaulted a 17-year-old girl and threatened her and her family. Evans has also been convicted of felony menacing, criminal attempt possession of a schedule two controlled substance, and escape.

Evans is described as a black man, about 6 feet tall and 250 pounds, with brown eyes and shaved black hair. He has several tattoos, including a reaper on his chest, “Evans” on his upper left arm, “Forever” on his lower right arm, “Strugglin” on his lower left arm, skulls on his lower right arm, “E” on his lower left arm, and “Doga” on his stomach.

Deputies said Evans is the only sexually violent predator living in unincorporated El Paso County. There are 14 sexually violent predators living in Colorado Springs.
