Felony suspect arrested in Colorado Springs traffic stop

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — A man wanted on two felony warrants was arrested during a traffic stop in southeastern Colorado Springs early Saturday morning.

Police said an officer was conducting traffic enforcement on South Circle Drive near Interstate 25 around 1:30 a.m. when he pulled over a vehicle occupied by Michael Jack, who had two felony warrants out for his arrest. Police searched the vehicle, in which Jack was a passenger, and found a handgun, 1.5 grams of meth, two oxycodone pills, 0.4 grams of heroin, and 0.4 grams of a meth and heroin mixture.

Jack was arrested on charges of possession of weapons by a previous offender and possession of schedule one and two controlled substances, in addition to the outstanding felony warrants.
