State Patrol: Number of marijuana-related DUID arrests decreased in 2015

DENVER — The Colorado State Patrol has released statistics on the number of people who were arrested for driving under the influence of marijuana in 2015.

CSP said a total of 4,546 citations were issued for DUI and DUID in 2015. Marijuana was the only indicator in 347 of those citations. Marijuana was one of the indicators in 665 of the citations.

CSP said in 2014, 12.2 percent of DUI and DUID citations were related to marijuana. In 2015, that percentage rose to 14.6 percent.

However, the total number of DUI and DUID citations related to marijuana decreased by 1.3 percent between 2014 and 2015.
