Man charged with vehicular eluding

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — On Jan. 16 around 12 p.m. a silver Volkswagen Jetta failed to yield for a traffic contact and a short pursuit ensued.

According to police, due to safety concerns the pursuit was terminated. The suspect’s vehicle did not have any license plates, but instead had H&H Tire’s business placard on the license plate mounts.

Further investigation revealed the owner of the vehicle and the location. The suspect was later identified as Kem Randolph, 33, a Fountain resident. Mr. Randolph admitted to today’s incident as well as previous eluding which occurred on Jan. 14 in the City of Fountain.

Randolph was charged with two counts of vehicular eluding, two counts of reckless driving, driving under revocation and violation of traffic control device. Randolph was taken into custody without incident.
