Man dies after Colorado Springs stabbing

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — A man died of an unrelated medical condition after he was stabbed early Saturday morning, according to police.

Police said around 3 a.m., they got a call about a disturbance at a home in the 2500-block of East St. Vrain Street, which is near the intersection of Platte Avenue and Circle Drive.

A short time later, a man was admitted to a local hospital with a stab wound. At the hospital, the man died of an unrelated medical condition, according to police.

The victim was identified as Charles Chavez Jr., 38, of Colorado Springs.

No suspects have been arrested in connection with the stabbing, but police said everyone who was involved has been identified.
