CASCADE, Colo. — A man is facing multiple charges after a home invasion that closed Highway 24 for about three hours Sunday.

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office said around 8:30 a.m., they got multiple 911 hangups from a home in the 8000-block of Highway 24 in Cascade. When they arrived, deputies learned there were several victims inside the home, possibly with two armed suspects.

Four victims were rescued from the home, and three were rescued from a detached garage on the property. One suspect was taken to the hospital. Deputies detained another person, but released him after determining he wasn’t involved.

The suspect, 28-year-old Eli Carlos Hahn, was jailed on charges of first-degree burglary, aggravated robbery, second-degree kidnapping, felony menacing, being a felon in possession of a firearm, and child abuse.

A second suspect, 29-year-old Henry Justin Henriquez, was also arrested. He is charged with first-degree burglary, aggravated robbery, felony menacing, kidnapping, possession of a firearm by a previous offender, and child abuse.

Deputies said more arrests are anticipated.

Highway 24 closed in both directions at Fountain Avenue in Cascade around 11:30 a.m. while police investigated the scene. It reopened around 2:30 p.m.
