Pioneers Museum lights up for the holidays

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — On Saturday evening the Colorado Springs Pioneers Museum will be the backdrop for a fun, festive, free, animated light show starting after the Festival of Lights Parade.

“It’s a three minute show and it runs every five minutes in between,” said Joe Poch, who is one of the organizers. “I like seeing the faces on people when they see the show.”

The show is a joint effort between the museum, the Downtown Partnership and Townshed.

“They went into the actual archives that are stored here at the museum, they pulled out photos from Colorado Springs, in fact they’re opening a new exhibit here at the museum talking about the health services in the Tuberculosis industry here in Colorado Springs,” Poch said.

The show is something the whole family could enjoy and quick enough to keep the attention of the little ones.

The show will play every five minutes, every night from 5:30 until 9 p.m., until the end of the year.
