Deputies investigating after two students bring airsoft guns to school

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Deputies are investigating after two students brought airsoft guns to a Security-Widefield school Monday.

Deputies said around 2:45 p.m., they got a call about a student outside of Watson Junior High School with a weapon. When they arrived, deputies found two students just north of the school with airsoft guns. The orange tips had been removed, making them look like real guns, according to deputies. Witnesses saw the two showing off and waving the guns on and off school property.

Deputies said their investigation is ongoing.
