Woman accused of stealing $1 million worth of jewelry

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — A woman is accused of stealing $1 million worth of jewelry from a store in northern Colorado Springs.

Police said around 11 p.m. Thursday, they were called to the Jared in the 1700-block of East Woodmen Road, near the intersection with Academy Boulevard, to investigate a theft. Police learned the thief had taken about $1 million worth of jewelry from the store.

Officers identified the suspect as Patricia Eck, 66. They searched the home, found the stolen jewelry, and arrested Eck.
