Threats prompt increased security at Cheyenne Mountain High School

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Police are increasing security at Cheyenne Mountain High School after a student there made threats against several other students.

Police said around 7 p.m. Thursday, they were called to the 600-block of Robinglen Court to check on a teen who allegedly made threats against several students that attend Cheyenne Mountain.

District officials said they received 40 to 50 Safe2Tell messages identifying the teen and describing the alleged threats.

Officers talked with the student and the student’s parents and determined the student is no longer a threat. Classes are being held as normal, but Colorado Springs police have increased their presence on the campus.
