Man dies after crash in northeastern Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — A man died after a crash in northeastern Colorado Springs Wednesday evening.

Police said the crash happened around 6:40 p.m. on Powers Boulevard just before the intersection with Dublin Boulevard. A 2006 Cadillac STS was headed northbound when the driver lost control. The car went over the center median, crossed the southbound lanes of traffic, and hit multiple parked cars in the area just southwest of the intersection.

The driver, a 62-year-old man from Colorado Springs, was taken to the hospital, where he died.

Police have not yet determined how the man died. They’re still investigating if drugs, alcohol or speed were factors in the crash.
