Woman charged with compulsory insurance after crash with detective

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — On Oct. 18 around 12:15 p.m. a Colorado Springs Police Department detective was driving southbound on Nevada Avenue at Cimarron Street in an unmarked 1999 Chevy Lumina when it struck a 1993 Isuzu Rodeo making a left turn.

The CSPD detective and the two occupants of the Isuzu Rodeo were not injured.

The unmarked Lumina sustained moderate damage to it’s front end and was towed from the scene. The Isuzu Rodeo sustained minor damage on it’s rear passenger side.

The 24-year-old female driver of the Isuzu Rodeo was cited for traffic charges and compulsory insurance.
