Colorado Springs Police conducting death investigation

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — A suspect has been arrested in connection with a Sunday morning homicide in Colorado Springs.

Benjamin Sinclair, 24, is facing manslaughter charges for the shooting, which happened around 3:30 a.m. Sunday in the 2800-block of Concord Street. That’s in the area of Nevada Avenue and Fillmore Street. Police said the victim was found in a detached garage behind a home. The homeowner called police to report the death.

The victim has been identified as Ethan Montoya, 30.

Police said this is the 16th homicide in Colorado Springs this year. At this time last year, there were 20 homicides.
