Man robs downtown Colorado Springs bank

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — A man robbed a downtown Colorado Springs bank Monday morning, according to police.

Police said the robbery happened around 10 a.m. at the Academy Bank on Tejon Street downtown. The robber approached a teller and demanded money. He made implied threats, but did not show a weapon, according to police. The teller gave him money, and the man ran away. He was last seen headed east on Pikes Peak Avenue toward Nevada Avenue.
