Man hit by vehicle during domestic disturbance in southeastern Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — A man was hit by a vehicle during a domestic disturbance in southeastern Colorado Springs Tuesday night.

Police said the incident happened around 11:15 p.m. in the 2900-block of South Academy Boulevard, near the intersection with Hancock Expressway. Officers were called there to investigate a domestic disturbance between a man and woman. When they arrived, officers learned the man had been hit by a vehicle.

Police said an unknown driver hit the man, then left the area. Police don’t know if the driver knew the man, or was trying to stop the fight between the man and woman.

No arrests have been made for the vehicular assault. The man who was hit, Jorge Thorbourne, was hospitalized for his injuries. He faces domestic violence charges.
