FORT CARSON, Colo. — Twenty soldiers are coming home to Fort Carson this week after nine months in Iraq.

The soldiers are with the 2nd Battalion, 12th Field Artillery Regiment, 1st Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division. They deployed to Iraq in December in support of Operation Inherent Resolve. That operation supports the military intervention against the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), according to Fort Carson officials.

Officials said all of the deployed soldiers were awarded Combat Action Badges for attacks on their air base February 13 and March 8.

The homecoming ceremonies are set for Friday at 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. at the special events center on post.
