Mountain Metropolitan Transit service changes for fall 2015

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Mountain Metropolitan Transit will implement fall service changes on Sunday.

MMT will add both weekday-evening and Saturday service to Route 22, which serves the Southborough area between Galley Road and Hancock Expressway. Weekday-evening and Saturday service to Route 23 which covers the eastern portion of the City between Galley Road and Stetson Hills Boulevard focusing on the Tutt Boulevard commercial corridor.

MMT will increase frequency on Saturdays to Route 5, which runs between the downtown bus terminal at 127 E. Kiowa Street and the Citadel Mall transfer center will run every 30 minutes instead of every hour. Route 25 from the Citadel to the Voyager Parkway transfer center will also run every 30 minutes instead of every hour.

MMT will rename the portion of 9A north of UCCS to Route 39, and the portion between the downtown bus terminal at 127 E. Kiowa Street and UCCS to Route 9.

In an effort to cut down on the potential for fraud, MMT will replace all disabled reduced fare authorization cards with a new digital photo ID card at no charge to the rider. Cards can be obtained at the Independence Center located at 729 S. Tejon Street.
